Description: A beautiful silver crown size coin from the Guatemala. This is the 1897 one or un peso coin. The coin displays justice seated facing left with cornucopia in one hand and a staff in the other on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA UN PESO" surrounding justice. The reverse shows the fineness of the silver in the coin (0.900) and the date of issue (1897) under a scroll with a bird (Quetzal) on top of it with swords and guns behind it all surrounded by branches. The coin has a reeded edge. This is MK 210 weighing ~25 gm and measuring ~37 mm. Please carefully review the photos provided as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade the coin as lustrous about uncirculated or better with all the details being very well preserved. The high points in the coin show some minor wear, while the fields are clean and lustrous. The coin is problem free with some minor scratches and minor bag marks. It does have a couple of minor dings to the edge, but truly nothing to worry about. This is a beautiful, problem free and great looking coin, which would make a great addition to your collection.
