The ladle has an ~11 3\/4\" long handle ending with a ~3 3\/4\" flattened portion having a rounded edge. The piece is marked with English marks, with which we are not familiar. However, we see the crowned VR for Victoria Regina. We believe the ladle to be from mid to late 1800s. The ladle has what we would characterize a large bowl measuring ~4 3\/8\" by ~3 1\/2\" and is ~1 3\/8\" deep. The bowl has a slightly rounded bottom with outwards flared sides.  The ladle measured ~13\" from end to end and has a nice warm gray age patina. The piece shows pitting throughout the bowl and to a lesser extent in the handle suggesting the piece was cast with the bowl and the handle cast separately then soldered together. The piece has some scratches and a few small dings here and there. This a nice old piece of English pewter worthy of a spot in your collection. The piece has scratches and a few small dings here and there. The piece was cleaned by the previous owner and has a label as well as writing with a black marker with the number 306 which is probably the number the piece had within the previous owner's collection.
