Lot of 6 Italy 1943 Allied Military Currency Banknotes 1, 2, 5, 10, 50 and 100 Lire Pick Numbers M10, 11, 12, 13, 20b & 21b Range Very Good to Uncirculated Currency

Description: A nice lot of six banknotes ranging in grade from Very Good to Uncirculated. The lot consists of six notes issued by the Allied Military at the end of World War II as military currency in Italy. The notes, which are in Lire denominations, are from the 1943 and 1943A issues. The series 1943 consists of the 1, 2, 5, and 10 Lire banknotes, while the series 1943A are the 50 and 100 lire notes. The first four notes are colored as follows; the one lire is brown with blue border, the two lire is brown with violet border, the five lire is brown with green border, and the 10 lire is brown with black border. Those four notes have green coloring on the back. The 50 lire is blue with a brown back and 100 lire is Blue with violet border and a brown colored back. The one lire note has the serial number A6307475A and is a good about uncirculated or better, the 2 lire has the serial number A53829781A and is uncirculated, the 5 lire has the serial number A81088123A and grades as a very good, the 10 lire has the serial number A21604245A and grades as a very fine or better, the 50 lire has the serial number A01863612B and would grade as a crisp very fine or better and finally the 100 lire has the serial number A48023576B and grades as a very fine. The notes are of two sizes, the 1 through 10 lire notes measure ~3" by ~2 7/8" while the 50 and 100 lire notes ~6 1/8" by ~2 5/8". Condition: The one lire note grades as a good about uncirculated or better, the 2 lire grades as uncirculated, the 5 lire grades as a very good, the 10 lire grades as a very fine or better, the 50 lire grades as a crisp very fine or better, and finally the 100 lire grades as a very fine.
