Description: A beautiful silver crown size coin from the Mexico. This is the 1910 one or un peso coin for the Mexican United States. This is the coin known as Caballito and was designed by Charles Pillet. The coin displays a horse with a rider facing left within sun rays on the obverse with the date below. The reverse shows the Mexican eagle with a serpent in its beak, the denomination and the words ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the edge. The edge of the coin is also marked "INDEPENDENCIA" all along the rim. Please carefully review the photos provided as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1910

Mint: Mexico City.

Size and Weight: Coin weighs ~27 gm of ~0.903 silver and is ~39 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM 453.

Condition: I would grade the coin as a choice extremely fine or better with all the details being well preserved. The coin retains quite a bit of its original mint luster. The high points in the coin show wear but you can still see the facial features on the rider as well as the horse. The coin is problem free and has a few scratches, minor dings, and bag marks. It has soiling along the edge and along the rim as well as a few stains within the design especially on the obverse. The coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated state. It is a beautiful, great looking and would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
