Description: A beautiful silver crown size coin from Mexico. This is the 1948 five or cinco pesos coin with mint mark Mo. The coin depicts the head of a what we believe is Cuauhtémoc, the famous Aztec ruler in a headdress facing left on the obverse with the legend CINCO PESOS. 30 GRAMOS. LEY 0.900.Mo. 1948 surrounding it. The head has the letters "CUAUHTEMOC" under it. The reverse shows the National Mexican Arms (depicting the Mexican eagle with a serpent in its beak) within a wreath. The reverse has the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANO" along the edge. A beautiful coin with full and brilliant mint luster and well preserved . This is KM 465 weighing ~30 gm and measuring about 40 mm. It has the reeded edge. Size and Weight: Coin weighs ~30 gm of ~0.90 silver and is ~40 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM 465.

Condition: I would grade the coin as a Gem Brilliant Uncirculated with all the being very well preserved. The coin retains all of its original mint luster. The high coin shows no wear but has some bag marks and scratches. The reverse shows nice of the arms and the cactus plant on which the eagle is perched on the reverse. The coin is clean and had great eye appeal. It is beautiful and would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
