Mexico Silver Coin 1911 One or Un Peso Horse and Rider Caballito Long Ray MS 63

Description: A beautiful silver crown size coin from the Mexico. This is the 1911 one or un peso coin for the Mexican United States. This is the coin known as Caballito and was designed by Charles Pillet. The coin displays a horse with a rider facing left within sun rays on the obverse with the date below. The reverse shows the Mexican eagle with a serpent in its beak, the denomination and the words ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the edge. The edge of the coin is also marked "INDEPENDENCIA" all along the rim. This coin is of the Long Ray variety, is uncirculated and is graded as MS 63 (Mint State 63) by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Mint: Mexico City.

Size and weight: Coin should weigh ~27 gm of ~0.903 silver and is ~39 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM 453.

Condition: The coin is a great uncirculated coin with russet and tan toning. It is graded as MS 63 (Mint State 63) by NGC and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. It is the long Ray Variety, as noted on the slab. This variety is scarcer and more difficult to come by. The coin is problem free and has a few minor scratches and minor bag marks.
