Nice 1855 Lima Peru Republic Coinage Small Silver Coin 1/4 Real NGC AU 58
Description: A nice about uncirculated small silver coin from Peru. This is the 1855 republic coinage quarter real silver coin. The coin depicts the image of a Llama standing on the obverse within a toothed border. The reverse shows the denomination with the word "LIMA" above it and the date 1855 below it all within a toothed border. This is a very small size coin (~12 mm inn diameter) with its edge being bumpy and not quite reeded. The coin is great looking with its details being very well preserved. Small coins such as this made of precious metal and having such small denomination are difficult to come by since they usually were melted for their metal, heavily circulated and thus never in such a nice grade, or easily lost because of size. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
