Nice 1962 South African Reserve Bank Two Rands Banknote Van Riebeeck P# 104b UNC

Description: A beautiful uncirculated banknote from South Africa. This is the South African Reserve Bank no date tow Rands known to have been introduced in 1962. The banknote is blue on multicolored underprint in the front. It displays the portrait of Jan Van Riebeeck in an oval frame to the left of the front. There is a mountain and the cape of good hope under the framed image to the left and three sailing ships in the right bottom corner. The back is light blue and displays the lion and banner from the coat of arms in the center. The note is written in English on top of Afrikaans on the front making it Pick No. 104. It is signed by Rissik making it P104b. The front has one signature and the serial number as well as the denomination. This particular note has the serial number B over 238 935643, which is displayed twice on the front in black. The back only displays the name of the bank and the denomination. The note has a watermark displaying the portrait of Jan Van Riebeeck. Please carefully review the scan provided as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as good uncirculated. The note has no folds and no wrinkling. The banknote is clean with no staining. The note retains all of its stiffness, crispiness, and sheen. The note has no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears, and no splits. The edges are intact, show no roughness, and no nicks. The corners are intact, squared with no bumps and no observable rounding. The colors of the note are clear, vivid and very bright. A very nice note to add to your collection.
