Nice Vintage WILTON Cast Iron Hanging Match Holder With Lid Black Coloring
Description: This is a vintage cast iron hanging match holder. This match holder has a match compartment with a lid that remains closed and protects the matches in it when the holder is hung vertically. The holder has a hole on top to hang from and has a striker on the front of the compartment where the matches are stored. The piece is painted in black and is marked "WILTON" on the back. The piece is rather heavy and substantial weighing over a pound and five ounces. Again, the piece is well cast and well put together. Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
