Old Carved Wood Primitive Butter Print American Eagle Design V-Grove Band Border
Description: A nice vintage lathe turned and carved wood wooden butter print. The butter print, which is made of wood, has a carving depicting an eagle with its wings next to its body and its chest shaped as a shield with stripes. There are plant branches on both sides of the eagle. The print has V-Grove Band Border along the edge. The print has a knob like handle. The entire piece appears to be made of a light-colored hard wood. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: Uncertain, most likely late 1800s to early 1900s.
Origin: Purchased at an estate auction Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: Measures ~4 1/8" in diameter at the design part and is ~2 7/8" high. The piece weighs about 3.5 ounces.

The design is clean suggesting the piece did not see much use, but rather was cherished by its previous owner. The piece has no cracks, breaks, hairlines, or repairs.
