Description: A lustrous mint state 1956 (1375 AH) Twenty Egyptian Piaster silver coin. The coin depicts the head of the ancient Egyptian Sphinx one of the world's seven wonders, located in the Giza plateau outside of Cairo Egypt. The coin is labeled (Gomhuriet Misr) Republic of Egypt. This coin is a one year type coin and represents the only issue of the 20 piastres denomination with the sphinx. It is KM-384 and weighs 14 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 33 mm in diameter. The coin is graded Mint State MS 63 by NGC and comes in a plastic slab so labeled.
