The art work is intact and well preserved. The paper shows some foxing and yellowing due to age especially along the edge of the scroll gold leaf ovals framing the silhouettes. The brown paper backing, which is most likely a more recent addition, has some breaks and some minor tears, but is still intact. Both pieces show a few spots where the gold leaf to the frame is lost mostly along the edge as well as a few scratches to the front. Both pieces are a bit loose when shaken, but they are solid and well held together.
