Pair Of Bone China Salad Plates Wedgwood Colonnade W4340 8 1/8" Diameter
Description: A pair of ~8 1/8" bone china salad plates by Wedgwood in the Colonnade pattern. These are marked W4340. The plates are off-white in color with black geometric lines and circles at the rim with a golden edge. This pattern which was in production 1960-2004 is discontinued. Two plates in excellent condition to complete your set or to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: Uncertain but we believe they were made in the late 20th century.
Origin: Purchased at an estate Auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plate was made in United Kingdom.
Size: The plate measures ~8 1/8" in diameter and is ~3/4" in height. The two plates together weigh about 1 pound and 8 ounces.
Marks: Marked on the bottom with the image of a black Greek vase with the following text in gold lettering under glaze below it "WEDGWOOD; Bone China; Made in England; COLONNADE W4340" which can be seen in the last photo.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: Two nice plates in a rather desirable pattern that are in excellent condition. Would make a great addition to your collection.
Condition: The plates are in excellent condition. They have no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. The plate shows no losses of coloring or the gold edge coloring. We believe these plates saw very little use and therefore are in great condition. Careful examination of the plate reveals each plate has a few minor surface scratches or utensil marks. However, these are not obvious, can only be seen when the light is correctly angled, and the plates look great. Please see photos for additional condition information.
