He is wearing a uniform and a fez and has the words Fouad the first King of Egypt along the edge on the obverse. The reverse has the words "Al Mamlkah Al Mesryah" (Kingdom of Egypt) in the center in beautiful calligraphy surrounded by the denomination and the date in years AD (1929) and AH (1348). The letter "BP.' also appears on the bottom of the reverse. This is a relatively rare coin with low mintage of only 500,000, which is rather low for such a low denomination.
