Sonora Mexico 10 Pesos Banknote January 1, 1915 Pick S1073 Crisp Uncirculated
Description: A nice crisp uncirculated Banknote from the State of Sonora in Mexico. This is the January 1, 1915 series D ten pesos. The banknote depicts the portraits of Francisco Madero (President of the United Mexican States) at left and J. M. Pino Suarez (Governor of the State of Sonora) at right both in black and white over a pink background with black writing on the front. The back is green with the image of Mexican Arms (an eagle with a snake in its beak with mountains in the background) with the words Republica Mexicana and the words Goberno del Estado Libre Y Soberno De Sonora surrounding the eagle in its center. There is a scalloped red treasury seal at the top left corner and the letters JR-XX in red near the right corner of the back. This particular note has the serial number 16008, which we like very much, in blue displayed twice on the front and is not displayed on the back. The note has four printed signatures displayed on the bottom of the front but has no water mark that we could find. The paper of the note still retains all of its stiffness, crispiness, and original sheen. The note is clean with no stains and its colors are fresh and exhibit no fading.
