The front of the banknote has dark blue design on multicolor under-print and depicts the image of a sailing ship in the harbor with mountain in background on the left and a sailing ship with a palm tree in the foreground to the right. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. The back is in dark blue in color and depicts the arms of Trinidad and Tobago in the center. The arm has the image of a lion and a unicorn propping a crowned shield. It has three signatures on the front. Please carefully review scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1st January 1943.

Printer: Thomas De La Rue & Company Ltd., London, England.

Size: The banknote measures ~6" by ~3 1/4".

Pick Number: P 5c.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good very fine or much better with all the details still being well preserved. The note has several vertical folds all in the center of the note as well as a crease at an angel near the bottom right corner but no horizontal folds that we could find. It has general light wrinkling and may have been flattened. The note is fairly clean and has no staining. Its edges are intact with general light roughness and some creases but has no losses. It has no splits, no tears, no graffiti and no pinholes. The corners are intact with minimum rounding, some creasing but no observable losses. The note still retains some of its stiffness and crispiness. This is a nice note to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
