Two 1948 Bank of Spain Small Banknotes One Peseta and 5 Pesetas P# 135 & 136 UNC
Description: Two small and beautiful crisp uncirculated banknote from Spain. The two notes were issued by the bank of Spain in 1948. The first note is the one Peseta issued 19 June 1948 and the second is the 5 pesetas banknote issued on 5 March 1948. The one peseta is brown on multicolored underprint. It depicts the statue of the Lady of Elche to the right on the front. It has three signatures and shows the date as well as the denomination on the front. The back of this note has the same color scheme on the back and shows the denomination and the serial number. The 5 pesetas note is green on multicolored underprint. It depicts the image of the Spanish explorer Juan S. Elcano to the left with three signatures and the denomination. The back is green, shows the denomination and the serial number. Both notes are small in size and are crisp uncirculated. The one peseta has the serial number J08524233 shown in black twice on the back, while the 5 pesetas note has the serial number F02766401 shown twice in red on the back. Two beautiful small banknotes in great condition to add to your collection. The one peseta banknote has no watermark that we could find, while the 5 pesetas banknote has a watermark depicting a man's head. Date: The one peseta note is dated 19 June 1948 and the 5 pesetas is dated 5 March 1948.

Size: The one peseta banknote measures ~3 5/16" by ~2 5/16" and the 5 pesetas banknote measures ~4 5/16" by ~2 5/8".
Pick Number: The one peseta is P135a and the 5 peseta is P136a.
Condition: I would grade both small sized banknotes as a crisp uncirculated. The banknotes have all of their details very well preserved. They show no folds or creases. They both retain their original stiffness, sheen, and crispiness. Their corners are squared with no observable rounding. The notes are clean and have no pinholes, no graffiti, and no stains.
