Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and very interesting piece of vintage Majolica that is in excellent condition. The piece would display very well and make a nice addition to your Majolica collection.
Condition: The plate is in excellent condition with no cracks, hairlines, chips, or repairs. The plate has general overall crazing to the glaze, which gives it a nice character. The plate has no losses to the glaze, However, the plate has three spots where the surface suffered from pops to the glaze during the firing, which can be seen at 4:00, 8:00, and 12:00 O'clock in the last photo. These are obviously original to the making and are truly difficult to see and do not affect the quality or beauty of the piece. The back also shows some minor manufacturing defect such as pops and small slubs, which are to be expected of such an old piece of majolica. Be that as it may, the plate shows vivid colors and the design is great looking and the issues outlined here do not distract from the beauty of the plate.
