Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and very interesting piece of Majolica that is in excellent condition. The piece would display very well and make a nice addition to your Majolica collection.
Condition: The plate is in excellent condition with no cracks, hairlines, chips, or repairs. The plate has general overall crazing to the glaze, which is very difficult to visualize on the front but is there. The crazing is rather obvious on the back. The colors of the plate are vivid and the plate is clean and would look great in your collection. There is three spots near the edge on the back with raised glaze. These are the spots where the prongs on which the plate rested while it was being fired and when the plate was removed some of the glaze stuck to them. These of course are original to the making and do not distract from the beauty or condition of the plate. Please view photos for additional condition information.
