Vintage Carved Wood & Metal Green Yellow & Orange Colors Folk Art Fish Decoy
Description: This is a very nice and substantial vintage folk art carved wood fish decoy. The wooden fish is colored in a green, yellow, and orange with black highlights. The fins and tail of the decoy are made of ferrous (sticks to a magnet) thin metal. The fins and tail are painted in green with the tail having black lines. The fis has painted eyes and gills all in black. The carving has very little details except for the shape and the fish's mouth. The fish is weighted with what we believe is lead and the top fin has holes so it can be hung using a thread. A nice vintage decoy which would make a great addition to your collection or can be used to decorate your house at the shore or lake.
