Vintage Hallmark Rosewood Ball Point Pen and Pencil Set In Original Box
Description: A set of vintage Hallmark ball point pen and mechanical pencil set in original box. Both implements are made of rosewood as indicated by the label in the box and are a nice wooden brown color. They both have a silver-colored unmarked clip on top and a silver-colored metal ring marked Hallmark MADE IN USA in the middle. The tip of both pieces is also silver colored. The pen and pencil work well and the ball point pen has blue colored ink. Both implements are in their original velvetlike material covered metal box which includes a pamphlet filled with instruction for operating and refilling. The box has a silk like material on the back of the lid and a felt like material where the implements fit. the metal box fits in an external cardboard box with the Hallmark insignia on it. Careful examination of the set suggest that the set was rarely used or never used. The external cardboard box itself is soiled, has some breaks at the corners and shows some breaks at the flaps on both sides. Both pen and pencil are in excellent condition with no observable damage or pronounced scratches. Just a nice vintage set to add to your collection. Size: The pen is ~5 1/4" long and the pencil is ~5 1/4" long. The entire set including the boxes weighs about 5 ounces.
Maker: Unknown.
Marks: Marked Hallmark Made in USA; on the middle ring of both pen and pencil. The interior of the material covered metal box is marked Hallmark as is the outer cardboard box.

Condition: The pen and pencil are in excellent condition and do not appear to have been used at all. They are clean, intact, and without any objectionable scratches or observable wear. The pencil works well and the pen also works as it should. They are both all there in good original condition. The inside material covered metal box is in good condition with no losses or damage. The outer cardboard box shows wear and some splitting along the creases of the flaps. The outer box is also soiled and shows some scuff marks.
