Description: A hand carved wood Maori tiki idols totem from New Zealand. The carving is brown in color and represents the heads of two idols on top of each other and both having shell eyes. The carving is very elaborate and shows a lot of linear details. The piece, which is about 15 inches high, has a flat base and a nicely finished surface. It is in dark brown with the back being smooth and having no imagery. The piece has an attached label on the back which says "Hand Carved in AOTEAROA, N. Z, Timber - Kauri".
