Vintage Wedgwood Jasperware Green Colored Vase with Flower Arranger Putti, Trees, Women and Vines
Description: Vintage Wedgwood green vase with a flower arranger. The vase, which is round having a flat base and rising outwards flared sides has a flat plate with holes in it which fits on a ledge at the top of the vase. The plate has holes in it so that it would be useful to arrange flowers and hence our assertion that it is a flower arranger. The piece is colored in matte green color with white cameo style decoration showing putti and women dressed in revealing flowing dresses and carrying fruits, drinks, plants, and baskets in their hands or on top of their heads. There is trees and plants throughout the scene. The base of the vase is decorated with a vine showing grapes and leaves all along the circumference. There is also a floral decoration band above the allegorical scene below the edge of the vase. The vase has a round flat and depressed base with marking indicating it is a Wedgwood piece made in England. This is a very delicate and highly decorative Jasperware bud vase with a beautiful decorative motif on the sides. It is marked as to the maker on the underside of the base. This would make a nice addition to any collection or as a great gift for the avid collector. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: Uncertain, but probably mid to late-1900's. However, the markings suggest 1972 as a possible date.
Size: The pieces measure ~3 1/2" in diameter at the base, ~4 3/8" in diameter for the top opening and is ~4 5/8" high. The flower arranger plate is ~3 1/4" in diameter. The vase weighs about 1 pound and 7 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A vintage piece in great condition with beautiful and vivid colors, which would make a great addition to your Wedgwood pottery collection.
Condition: The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or crazing. The piece is lightly soiled especially along the edges and has some scuff marks along the edge of the flower arranger. We believe the piece would clean nicely but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Please see photos to appreciate the beauty of the vase and for additional condition information.
