Date: Uncertain but most likely sometime in the period 1950-1970.
Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: The base measures ~3 1/8" by ~1 7/8", while the bird itself is ~7" long, is ~2 1/2" at its widest, and ~5 3/4" at its highest. The piece weighs about 9 ounces.
Maker: James Christian Seagreaves.
Marks: Marked "JCS" on bottom in cursive calligraphy.

Condition: The bird is in good condition with no cracks, repairs, chips, or hairlines. The piece has crazing to the glaze throughout.
