Vintage Bone China Colorful English Royal Doulton Figurine Woman Sitting With Flowers in Her Hand Day Dreams HN 1731 By Leslie Harradine

Description: A nice vintage bone china figurine of a lady sitting on a bench wearing a pale pink dress with blue trim. She is also wearing a matching bonnet. She is holding a bunch of flowers on her lap. The woman has her head tilted to her right and she is obviously day dreaming. This figurine is titled "Day Dreams" and represents another of Leslie Harradine wonderful designs. The figurine is marked by the Royal Doulton company and has the number HN1731. It also has undecipherable initials presumed to be those of the artist who hand decorated the figuring. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: This figurine is discontinued and was manufactured in the period 1935 to 1950s.

Origin: England.

Size: It is ~6" high, with the base being by ~6 1/4" by ~ 4 3/4". The figurine weighs slightly over one pound.

Maker: Royal Doulton, originally an A. L. Harradine Creation.

Marks: Has the Royal Doulton mark and is also marked "Day Dreams" and has the characters HN 1731 with some initials under it (JCH?) written in green under glaze on the base. There is also an impressed mark on the bottom which we are unable to identify. Normally this figurine would also a date 1935 somewhere on the base. However, this example does not have this number, which we attribute to the fact that this is an earlier piece.

Condition: The piece is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, chips, crazing to the glaze, or repairs. It is lightly soiled with some darkening along the edge of the base. The piece also has residual from a price tag attached to the base, which we chose not to remove and leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Just a very colorful and beautiful piece.
