Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice quality antique box, which deserves a spot in your Chinese box collection.

Condition: Box is in relatively good condition with no cracks, breaks, hairlines, loss of color, loss of enamel on the exterior, or repairs. There is several spots where the enamel in the interior (both top and bottom portions) as well as the enamel of the base is lost, which can be seen in the photos. In addition the interior and the base has lines of glaze cracks that start at the spots where the enamel has been lost, most likely because the piece was hit with a blunt object which resulted in the enamel being lost and the cracks being formed. The edge on the bottom portion of the box, on which the top lid fits, is bent inwards but is still intact. Finally, the box has some areas of crazing of the enamel on the exterior, which can be seen in the photos. Be that as it may, the piece is still great looking and worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see the photos for additional condition information.
