Antique Silver Colored Metal Match Safe or Vesta Raised Black-eyed Susan Flowers
Description: Antique pocket match safe, matchsafe or vesta made of a silver-colored metal. This match safe has a raised design depicting flowers with round centers surrounded by petals (Black-eyed Susan?) on both sides. The repousse design is also evident on the inside. The match safe has a hinged lid which also has raised flower design. The matchsafe has a striker for the matches on the bottom. The lid hinge works well and closes tight. This match safe is a bit unusual in the sense that it is fatter in the bottom and thinner on top in thickness (it goes from ~3/8" in thickness in the bottom where the striker is to ~1/4" where the hinge is).
