Antique Tramp Art Wood Jewelry Box Hinged Lid and Small Drawer
Description: This is a true antique tramp art wood jewelry box having a hinged lid. The box also has a small drawer on the front. We are selling the box as found and although it has considerable interior damage, which is normal for these boxes, the exterior looks great and would display well in your collection once it has been cleaned. The box has a rectangular handle on top to lift the hinged lid. It also has a smaller rectangular handle on the drawer allowing it to be pulled out. The box also has two handles on the sides. The top compartment as well as the drawer are lined with red colored material. The top compartment has a glass cover on the inside of the lid which has a red heart with a black design. The box has four feet in the corners of the bottom on which it sits and the bottom is covered with silvery cardboard. Again once properly clean the box will display very well in your collection. Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: Measures ~10 1/2" by ~6 1/2" and is ~7" high. The box weighs about 2 pounds and 7 ounces.

Condition: We are selling the box as found. Although it has considerable interior damage, which is normal for these boxes, the exterior looks great and would display well in your collection once it has been cleaned. The box has a musty odor, is heavily soiled, has interior damage and losses, has parts that have been glued back, has parts that were glued to the edge of the lid when they should have been glued to the top of the inside, and has small missing pieces. The inside glass is intact but may have lost some of its coloring. The inside lining is soiled and stained but does not appear to have losses. The bottom cardboard silvery cover has losses of its coloring and is slightly separating along the back edge, This we believe can be easily repaired. All in all the box will look great to display once it is properly cleaned. We are selling the box AS IS at a fraction of its value.
