1937 Crown Size Silver Coin Egypt 20 Piastres King Farouk Facing Left PCGS MS64

Description: A beautiful uncirculated, rare 1356 AH or 1937 AD Egyptian twenty piastres silver coin. The large crown size coin depicts the bust of King Farouk the first (who ruled Egypt in the period 1936-1952) facing left. He is wearing a uniform and a fez and has the words Farouk the first King of Egypt along the edge on the obverse. The reverse has the words "Al Mamlkah Al Mesryah" (Kingdom of Egypt) in the center in beautiful calligraphy with the date in years AD (1937) and AH (1356), the denomination above it and surrounded with a tasseled wreath. The coin is graded MS64 by PCGS and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. It should weigh ~28 grams of 0.833 silver and is ~40mm diameter. This is a relatively rare coin, especially in such high grade, with low and undefined mintage. Please carefully review scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Size and weight: This is a 20 piastres, which is approximately 40 mm in diameter and should weigh ~28 gm of 0.833 silver. The coin has a reeded rim with the central beaded portion. 

References: It is KM #368. 

Condition: The coin is uncirculated and is graded by PCGS Gold Sheld as MS64 (Mint State). It comes in a plastic slab that is so labeled. It is beautiful with nice eye appeal and has no observable wear. A great and rare coin, in such high grade, worthy of a spot n your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
