1979 Reserve Bank of Rhodesia 5 Dollars Banknote P# 40a Superb Gem Unc. 67 EPQ
Description: A superb gem uncirculated Banknote from Rhodesia. This is the 15th May 1979 five dollars currency note issued by the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia. The front of the banknote brown on multicolored background. It depicts the bank's logo top center, the arms of Rhodesia to the right, and a giraffe standing bottom left. The back, which is also brown in color, depicts the image of two lions in the bush in gray colors. The front of the banknote displays the date, the denomination, the serial number and one signature while the back only displays the name of the bank and the denomination. The banknote has a watermark depicting the Zimbabwe Bird as well as a solid security thread right of center. This particular note has the serial number M/22 588243 shown twice in red on the front. This is Pick Number 40a. The note is graded Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled.
