1980 Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corp Fifty Dollars Banknote Pick# 184f VF+
Description: A nice about uncirculated banknote from Hong Kong. This is The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation 50 dollars note dated 31st March 1980. The banknote was printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. It is dark blue and light blue in color on multi-colored underprint. It depicts the arms of Hong Kong to the right of the front with the denomination spelled out in the center. The back is dark and light blue in color with the image of the new bank building left of center. The note has two signatures and is in English and Chinese. It has a water mark depicting the helmeted warrior’s head with the number 50 below it. This particular note has the serial number 111256 Y, displayed twice in black on the front. Condition: I would grade the note as a beautiful very fine or better. The note has vertical folds with some wrinkling. It is lightly soiled showing no objectionable stains and having light roughness along the edges. Its corners are intact with minor rounding but having some bumps. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. It has residual is crispiness and its colors are clear and vivid. A very nice looking note to add to your collection.
