Early Tin Pennsylvania Flat-Back Cookie Cutter Large Fish Design w/ Defined Eye
Description: A very nice old large flat back tin cookie cutter. This relatively large cutter has the design of a fish with a defined eye in its head. The cutter's back is flat having a curved handle soldered on it but no holes to allow for the air to escape. This is a very nice, large, and unusual primitive cookie cutter, with a desirable design, that is well made and solid. Date: Unknown but most likely late 1800s (late 19th century) to mid-1900s (mid-20th century).
Origin: This flat-back cutter was acquired at an estate in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: The cutter measure ~6 3/8" long by ~2 3/4" at its widest with the design being ~5/8" in height. The cutter weighs almost 2 ounce.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and old cookie cutter having a very uncommon and very desirable design, which would make a worthy addition to your collection.
Condition: The cutter, which is relatively larger than unusual and has an eye within the design (very unusual for fish cutters) is in good overall condition. The cutter has aged to a nice and warm gray patina throughout. The cutter has a few minor rust spots bit is clean and solid. The cutter shows scratches, some dings, and minor spots of rust as well as soiling throughout. Be that as it may, the cutter is great looking and would make a great addition to your collection.
