Treenware Egg Cup Signed HMZ, Stained and Lacquered, from Southeastern Pennsylvania, dated 1950

  • $ 74.99

Description:  A beautiful vintage turned wood treenware or treen ware egg cup or master salt? The cup is stained with a brown colored stain and then lacquered. The cup itself is delicate and its walls are relatively thin and light, very well done. The inside of the cup is also treated the same way. The piece has a pedestal type base, which is unfinished on the bottom. The base then rises with a central shaped stem to the cylindrical shaped cup, having straight sides and rounded rim. Just a great and beautiful shape and look. It is reminiscent of a Chalice. This piece is made in the best Americana and Pennsylvania Dutch tradition common in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The cup is signed and dated by the artist. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
