Antique Single Piece Lathe Turned Carved Wood Butter Print Unusual Pear Design Knob Shaped Handle
Description: A beautiful antique single piece lathe turned and chip carved wood wooden butter print. The butter print, which is made of a single piece of wood, has the very unusual design of a pear in the center of the field. The piece is decorated with a deep carved fruit with two leaves with it. The design is framed by an uncommon diamond check carved rim band. The print has a round flat surface with a deep carved design of the fruit. The fruit and leaves show lots of details. The print has a knob like handle on top. The entire piece appears is made of a single piece of wood. A nice, well done, and rather unusual butter print to add to your collection. Origin: Purchased at an auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
