Antique Victorian Wall Hanging Wood Wooden Two Compartment Match Holder
Date: Uncertain but most likely mid to late 1800s (Mid to late 19th century).
Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: The match holder measures ~10 1/8" by ~6 3/4" and extends outwards ~2". The compartments where the matches would reside are ~2" wide and ~1 3/4" deep. The entire piece weighs about 12 ounces.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: Just a very nice and unusual antique match holder, which would make a good addition to your collection.
Condition: The match holder is in very good condition with no breaks, cracks, damage, or repair. The piece has scratches and surface wear, losses to the surface finish, and some minor losses along the edges on the top and the sides on the front and back.
