Beautiful 1982 Framed Folk Art Signed Hand Painted Theorem Colorful Fruit Basket
Description: A very decorative and colorful framed oil on velveteen folk art primitive painting depicting a yellow colored basket or bowl full of colorful fruits and grape leaves. The fruits, which include strawberries, grapes, oranges, and pears, are very colorful with orange, yellow, red, purple, and green. The artwork is signed below the strawberries bottom right (see the last two photos). The painting comes in a brown wooden frame. The artwork is covered with glass for protection. The piece has brown paper backing with a hanging bracket in the center near the top edge to hang from. The piece is signed Sally Anderson with date 1982. There is also a label in the right bottom corner of the back with the name of the artist and her address. A nice piece of American Folk Art in the best Pennsylvania Dutch tradition to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania, USA.
Size: The piece measures ~13 1/8" by ~11 21/8" and weighs about one pound and 15 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a beautiful and very nice decorative primitive Pennsylvania Dutch style folk art piece. It would display very well in your collection or can be used as an accent for your home decor.
Condition: The piece is in very good condition with no problems that we could find. The frame has a few scratches and some dings but nothing that old English would not cover. The paper covering on the back is in good condition with only one small puncture, at the bottom right corner of the back, which can be seen in the photo. However, the paper backing is in place and shows no losses. Of course, this paper can be replaced with new paper, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. The back is also equipped with a bracket needed to hang the piece. A great piece, ready to hang on your wall and would be a good addition to your collection of folk art.
