Contemporary Pewter Ladle Curved Handle and Large Bowl By Jay Stauffer Lititz PA
Description: A nice contemporary pewter ladle having a nicely curved handle and a relatively large and deep bowl. The ladle has a rather curved handle ending with a shaped flat portion. The piece is marked "JTS" for Jay Thomas Stauffer from Lititz PA. Mr. Stauffer was active in in the 1960s through the 1990s. He died in 2012. The ladle is of a nice large size with a long handle and a large, deep bowl. The bowl appears to have been attached to the handle as opposed to the entire ladle being made of a single contiguous piece. The bowl is ~3 3/4" in diameter on top and is ~1 1/8" deep. The handle is ~10 1/8" long and the ladle measured ~13 1/8" from end to end and has a nice warm gray age patina, some minor scratches and a few small dings to the bowl and handle especially along the edges. The piece is clean and very well made. This a nice piece of pewter worthy of a spot in your collection. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Origin: Purchased in Southeast Pennsylvania, USA. The piece was made in Lititz in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Size: The bowl is ~3 3/4" in diameter on top and is ~1 1/8" deep. The handle is ~10 1/8" long and the ladle measured ~13 1/8" from end to end. The flat end of the handle itself measures ~3 1/2" long and is ~1 1/8" at its widest. The piece weighs over half a pound.

Marks: Marked JTS in raised letters within an oval on the back of the handle.
