Halcyon Days Enamels England Tall Cylindrical Box Ducks and Their Chicks in Box
Description: A beautiful cylindrical shaped enamel on copper box by Halcyon Days Enamels of England. This very colorful box has a hinged lid and the box looks very much like the antique (18th century) Battersea enameled boxes. The sides as well as the lid of the box are decorated with transfers showing parent ducks with their chicks floating on water. There is three panels on the side of the box two showing a pair oof adult ducks with their chicks and one panel showing what would be papa duck with its chicks. The to of the lid has a transfer showing again a pair of ducks (Papa and Mama) with three chicks. The colorful panels are over a yellow-colored background with fine dotted circles. The panels appear to show different types of ducks in each. The inside of the box is also enameled and is white in color. The inside of the lid has a linear drawing, in black over the white background, showing tails of ducks diving in the water after food with some plants in the background. The bottom of the box has the Halcyon Days' maker's mark in black color. The box comes in a light blue box lined with material and showing the name of the maker on the outside. Both the enameled box and the box where it fits are in very good condition. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the 1980s or 1990s.
Origin: Made in England.
Size: The enameled box is ~1 1/2" in diameter at the base and is ~1 7/8" high to the top of the lid. The outside box is ~3" by ~2 1/2" by ~1 7/8" when closed. The entire lot weighs almost ~3.5 ounces.
Maker: Halcyon Days Enamels.
Marks: The enameled box is marked on the bottom with the Halcyon Days logo. The larger blue holding box is marked on the lid with the word "HALCYON DAYS" with four crowns having some writing under them on top of the words. Please see photos for details.

Condition: The enameled box is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. The box is clean and the lid closes very well. In addition, the larger holding box is in very good condition. This is a great piece of revival Battersea enamels, worthy of a spot in your collection.
