Turned Softwood Signed Round Painted Trinket Box With Raised Peacock Decoration
Description: A nice and very unusual turned softwood round trinket box with a lift-off slightly domed lid. The box is decorated with raised painting on top of the lid and all around the side. The top of the lid, which is slightly domed, shows a peacock that appears to be flying in nice raised paint that is yellow in color while the side of the box has a raised design showing shapes and flowers again in yellow raised paint with gold highlights. The box has a flat round base extending beyond the sides and the lid, which has a raised center to fit in the top opening, also extends beyond the sides.
