Vintage Limoges France ROCHARD Hand Painted Small Trinket Box Travel Suitcase
Description: A beautiful small hand painted porcelain trinket box from Limoges France. The box, which is in the shape of travel suitcase, has a hinged lid with the hinge equipped with a flattened center to serve as a stopper for the box's lid when opened. The suitcase has two brown straps and travel stickers with names of places such as New York, USA, and Paris. The box has four round brass feet and a brass swinging handle. It is colored in an off-white color and has a thumb piece in the form of a padlock with a heart in its center. This is a very interesting box with a hinged lid. Both top and bottom of the box are fitted with brass tops at the edges and a hinge on the back and a locking thumb piece attached to the front of the top portion. The inside of the box is white in color with the bottom half having marking indicating that the piece is hand painted and made in Limoges by Rochard all written in beautiful black cursive calligraphy. The top half of the inside has a drawing of what we believe is a necktie colored in orange. This is a very nice piece from Limoges France to add to your collection of small trinket boxes. Marks: Marked on the bottom of the inside of the box in beautiful black cursive calligraphy "Paint Main Limoges France Rochard" under glaze.
