Vintage Tiffany & Co. Small Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Box Made in Italy
Description: A beautiful heart shaped 925 silver (sterling silver) box. The box which is stamped TIFFANY & Co. 925 ITALY on the back. The box has a hinged lid with two opposing thumb pieces one on the lid and one on the bottom. The lid has a ribbed design while the back of the box is plain. The inside of the box is plain and has the same unidentifiable mark on both halves of the box. The box is slightly soiled or tarnished and could use a good cleaning to bring out its full beauty, but we leave that to the new owner. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the mid to late 1900s, possibly earlier.
Origin: Made in Italy.
Size: The box is ~1 3/4" by ~1 7/8" and is ~1/2" thick with the lid closed. This small box weighs about 41.6 grams or ~1.34 troy ounces.
Maker: Tiffany and Company.
Marks: Marked on the bottom of the box "TIFFANY & Co. 925 ITALY".

Condition: The box is in excellent condition with no dings, breaks, major objectionable dings, or repairs. The piece has surface scratches and is soiled and lightly tarnished. The piece would benefit from a good cleaning to bring out its full beauty but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. The box is clean with an intact hinge and the lid closes very well.
