Beautiful Circa 1915 Roseville Pottery Donatello Pattern Nine Inch Console Bowl

Description: A most beautiful green and brown colored art pottery nice size console bowl by the Roseville Pottery Company. This console bowl which is about 9" in diameter and ~3 7/8" high is in the Donatello pattern. The pattern shows cherubs in action on brown background all around the exterior of the planter, which has a green and gray zig zag flat top. The piece is unmarked as is always the case with this early Roseville pattern. It was made in 1915 and designed by Frederick Rhead. Date: 1915.

Origin: The piece is part of a large collection purchased from a collector in Southern New Jersey, which we have been and will continue listing over the coming weeks and months. It was of course made in Roseville, Ohio.

Size: The piece measures ~9" in diameter and is ~3 7/8" high. The piece weighs about 2 pounds and 14 ounces.

Maker: Roseville Pottery Company.

Marks: unmarked as it is always the case with this pattern of Roseville pottery.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a truly nice piece which is relatively difficult to come by. The colors are rich, fresh and vivid and would display very well in your collection.

Condition: The piece is in very good condition with no cracks, hairlines, chips, or repairs. The piece has general crazing to the glaze, which can be seen in the photos. It is lightly soiled with darkening due to soiling along the foot of the base. The piece has no losses to the glaze or the coloring. The piece has colors that are fresh and vivid with no losses.
