Description: A most beautiful brown colored art pottery ewer with large spout and handle by the Roseville Pottery Company. This nominal 10" tall ewer is in the Clematis pattern. The pattern shows a broad blossoms of eight petals with a trailing vine on textured background of brown and green coloring. Again, the piece has a handle and slik and wide spout. It was made from 1944 on. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: Sometime post 1944.

Origin: The piece is part of a large collection purchased from a collector in Southern New Jersey, which we have been and will continue listing over the coming weeks and months. It was of course made in Roseville, Ohio.

Size: The piece measures ~10 1/2" at its tallest, ~4 1/2" in diameter at the base, and is ~6 3/4" at its widest including the spout and handle. The piece weighs slightly over two pounds and 6 ounces.

Maker: Roseville Pottery Company.

Marks: In relief on the bottom of the base the words "Roseville, U. S. A. 17-10" which can be seen in the photos.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a truly nice piece which is relatively difficult to come by. The colors are rich, fresh and vivid and would display very well in your collection.

Condition: The piece is in excellent condition with no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Careful examination of the piece's surface was unable to reveal any signs of crazing to the glaze which is rather rare and was totally unexpected making this piece rather rare from condition view point. The piece is lightly soiled and would probably benefit from a good cleaning, but we leave that to the new owner. The piece is great looking and would display nicely. A great and rather rare piece to add to your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
