Here head is turned a bit and tilted down to look at the bird in her hand. The bird has its wings open and appears ready to fly. She has beautiful eyes, red lips, and red cheeks. The figurine was designed by leading Doulton artist, William K. Harper, and issued from 1973 to 1981. This is a piece of hand painted nicely crafted Bone China is signed DS presumably the initials of the artist who decorated it. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: The piece is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, crazing to the glaze, or repairs. It has some soiling mostly on the foot where it would sit on a surface. There is some soiling on the tip of the bird's beak, which we believe is due to a minor defect in the glazing which occurred during the making. Other than that, the piece is superb. Just a very colorful and beautiful old piece of Royal Doulton art pottery. Please view photos to appreciate quality of the piece and for additional condition information.
