Rare Roseville Pottery Beautiful Yellow and Green Peony Conch Shell 436

Description: A truly rare and beautiful, very uncommon, yellow and green colored art pottery conch shell by the Roseville Pottery Company. The conch is in the Peony pattern and has six points on the bottom to stand on. It was made in early to late 1940s. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: Early to late 1940's.

Size: The piece measures ~9 1/2" at its widest, ~5 1/2" at its deepest, and ~6 1/4" at its highest. The piece weighs a bit over two pounds.

Maker: Roseville Pottery Company.

Marks: In relief on the bottom "Roseville, U. S. A. 436.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a truly nice piece which is very difficult to come by. The colors are rich, fresh and vivid and would display very well in your collection.

Condition: The piece is in excellent condition. The piece has no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. We have carefully examined the piece and were unable to see any crazing to the glaze, which is rather unusual for such a piece. The piece is a bit soiled and could probably benefit from a good cleaning. This is a great looking piece to add to your collection or use to decorate your home.
