1994 Glass Eye Studio's Orion's Belt Paperweight Cobalt Blue, Purple, and Gold
Description: A beautiful vintage hand blown sizable paperweight with a nice multi-colored celestial design. The paperweight is ball shaped with a small flat base on which it sits and a larger flat viewing surface where you can see the design within the paperweight the way it is supposed to be seen. The paperweight is titled Orion's Belt with the name engraved on the bottom flat base. It also indicates that it was made at Glass Eye Studios (GES) in 1994 which is etched again on the base. The design consists of a purple mass extending into space with shiny particles and highlights mostly in gold and other colors with a cobalt blue base. There are reflective small particles (stars?) on the back side which reflect the light in many colors including red, gold, green, blue, etc. A very interesting and celestial looking paperweight in the usual manner of GES paperweights. A beautiful paperweight by a famous American glass studio to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description.

Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. GES is located in Seattle Washington USA.
Size: The base is ~1 1/2" in diameter at the base, ~2 1/4" in diameter at the flat viewing surface on top, is ~3 1/8" in diameter and ~2 7/8" in height. The paperweight weighs about one pound and 8 ounces.
Maker: Glass Eye Studios.
Marks: Has the word Orion's Belt in cursive calligraphy engraved on the base. It also has "GES 94" etched on the bottom of the paperweight (see last photos for details).
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A nice paperweight with a very interesting design to add to your collection. It would display very well in your collection of paperweights.
Condition: The paperweight is in excellent condition and has no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The colors of the piece are vivid and beautiful as is the design. The surface of the piece has a few minor scratches but truly nothing of concern. The paperweight looks great and would make a great addition to your collection.
