The coin commemorates the inauguration of the building and is actually a commemoration of the first parliamentary year in the republic of Egypt. The coin is labeled (Gomhuriet Misr) Republic of Egypt. It is KM-389 and weighs 17.5 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1957 AD - 1376 AH.

Mint: Egypt.

Size and weight: This is a twenty five piastres, weighs 17.5 grams of 0.72 silver and is ~35 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #389.

Condition: The coin is graded by ANACS as MS (Mint State) 65. It is uncirculated with all the details being very well preserved and having full mint luster. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. It does have a few minor scratches and some bag marks but no observable wear commensurate with its uncirculated status and being in mint state. It is problem free and is truly a great looking coin. Please note the slab has some minor hairlines on the backside which are in the solid part and do not reach the cavity where the coin is. This does not compromise the quality or beauty of the coin and is mentioned here for completeness (see last photo). Please see photo for additional condition information.
