Mid Century Modern Art Vannes France Crystal Vase Leaves Branch Raised Décor
Description: A very interesting mid century modern heavy crystal or glass vase. This vase, which has thick walls, is marked "ART VANNES FRANCE" on the bottom. The vase s tall a flat oval base and rising straight sides. The sides are decorated with a raised design showing a branch with leaves on both sides of the branch. The design is repeated on the two wide sides of the oval. This is a tall vase and is almost 9 inches high. The piece is rather substantial weighing about 4 pounds and 13 ounces. Date: The piece is undated but it was probably made sometime in the 1950s.
Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania USA. The piece was made in France
Size: The vase is~8 3/4" tall with the base being ~4 1/8" by ~3" and the top opening being ~3 3/4" by ~3 1/8". The piece weighs about 4 pounds and 13 ounces.

Marks: Marked with the Art Vannes company mark consisting of a diamond shape with the words "ART VANNES FRANCE" within it. See photos for details.

Condition: The vase is in very good condition. It has no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. It does have some scratches to the base, which can be seen in the photos but no other issues. The piece has a few minor scratches, to the surface and small bubbles within the glass but these are truly a non-issue and do not affect the quality or beauty of the piece. The piece is also a bit soiled and would benefit from a nice cleaning, which we leave to the discretion of the new owner.
