Vintage Blown Art Glass Paperweight Pink Swirl & Colorful Highlights Makers Mark
Description: A beautiful vintage, marked hand blown glass paperweight with a pink swirl design. This large glass paperweight has colorful highlights throughout with many elongated along the swirls. It is ball shaped with a flattened base with an impressed mark, which we could not identify but my look like WV but we are not certain. There are also some small air bubbles dispersed throughout indicative of blown glass. This is a very nice paperweight beautifully made to add to your collection. Date: Unknown, but most likely mid to late 1900s (mid to late 20th century).
Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: The base is ~1 3/8" in diameter at the base, is ~3 1/8" in diameter at its widest, and ~3 1/8" in height. The paperweight weighs slightly over one pound and 5 ounces.
Maker: Unknown.
Marks: Marked on the bottom with an impressed mark, which we are unable to identify.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A nice and high quality paperweight to add to your collection. It would display very well in your collection of paperweights.
Condition: The paperweight is in excellent condition and has no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The colors of the piece are vivid and beautiful as is the design. The surface of the piece has a few minor scratches but truly nothing of concern. The paperweight looks great and would make a great addition to your collection.
