Vintage Large and Heavy Art Glass Paperweight Burgundy Flowers & Large Bubbles
Description: A beautiful vintage large and heavy blown glass paperweight with a design depicting 5 burgundy colored flowers emanating from a white colored base and rising to the top of the dome-shaped piece. The flowers, which are trumpet shaped have large bubbles in their center. There are also 5 elongated bubbles emanating from the white base between the flowers. The paperweight has a smoothed and recessed surface on the bottom on which it sits. The center of the base has the remnants of the pontil. The piece has no markings of any sort. A very nice paperweight to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description.
Date: Unknown, but most likely mid to late 1900s (mid to late 20th century).
Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: The base is ~1 3/4" in diameter while the paperweight itself is ~3 1/4" in diameter at its widest, and ~3 1/4" in height. The paperweight weighs about one pound and 10 ounces.

Condition: The paperweight is in very good condition and is much better looking than the photos suggest. It has no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The colors of the piece are vivid and beautiful as is the design. The paperweight has a few small air bubbles within it, which can be seen in the photos. The surface of the piece has a few minor scratches but truly nothing of concern. The paperweight looks great and would make a great addition to your collection.
